Word Wall

Have students write words you learn throughout the year on the word wall and mark the word with a sticker each time you use it. to see how often the words are used!

The palette is for art words and the canvases are for interdisciplinary words such as "proportion", "frontalism", etc.

As an art teacher, I get a lot of little drawings for kids. I used to keep them for a while and throw them out, but I started keeping them in a binder in page protecters with a new tab for each year. Students who frequently give me artwork now know to put them in the gallery!

Seating

A piece of tape indicates what color each of the tables in my room are, and I painted my stools with monsters for each table. I've gotten more stools since this photo, but some tables have 4 chairs and others have 5, so this keeps chairs from always migrating!

A note on table markings: I've tried electrical tape, laminated construction paper, etc to mark them, and the best thing that i have found are uncut vinyl decal sheets. They're for die cutting, but I'd used them before for other uses, and they can picked at, but they last me all year unlike tape and paper which get ruined super fast!
