With the spaghetti coloring, my district grades on a 1-4 scale, so I explain to them that the more detailed and less white spaces the better, and most of them understand it.

The illusion of depth/space

If you say "show the illusion of depth", students get confused and wonder what the "illusion of death" is so sometimes I say "illusion of space" instead.

This was for my students who may have issues such as processing disorders to visually access what the next step/material to use is, but is helpful for everyone!

I printed & laminated one paper for every tool we use in every medium and keep them in folders divided by medium. For example under the "printmaking" folder, I have brayer, ink, editioning, etc.
